Border guards give gift to Angelina Jolie

Ukrainian border guards gave a gift as a token of gratitude to American actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie. She received a set of national symbols of Ukraine and coins of the State Border Service Guard of Ukraine.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“Border guards thanked Angelina Jolie – a humanitarian for her support of Ukraine,” the message says.

The border guards noted that Jolie continues to call on the world community to help forcibly displaced persons and those suffering from the consequences of war.

As a token of gratitude, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment presented Angelina Jolie with a set of national symbols of Ukraine and coins of the State Border Service Guard of Ukraine.

Recall that on November 5, American actress, model, director, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie visited Kherson.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, officers of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center in the Mykolaiv Region stopped the motorcade of Hollywood star Angelina Jolie during her private visit. During the inspection, a Ukrainian citizen born in 1992, who accompanied the star, did not have military registration documents.

Politico, citing a high-ranking Ukrainian official, reported that Jolie arrived in Ukraine on foot and did not notify the Ukrainian government of her arrival.

During the visit, the Hollywood star visited the front-line cities of Kherson and Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine. She spent time with medical personnel, families and volunteers who continue their daily lives under the constant presence of drones, the threat of shelling and minefields. Following the visit, Jolie said that she was impressed by the residents of southern Ukraine and rebuked world governments.
