Black smoke visible from afar: fire continues in the port of Ust-Luga, Russia.

30.03.2026

The port of Ust-Luga is still on fire after several Ukrainian attacks. Fire and smoke can be seen from afar in the port area.

The Russians continue to publish epic footage from one of the “pillars” of Russian energy exports. They were collected by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

What is known

A large-scale fire is ongoing in Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region, on the territory of the largest Russian seaport on the Baltic Sea and the second largest in the country after Novorossiysk.

“As of 3 a.m., the port of Ust-Luga continues to burn successfully,” writes Exilenova+.

The channel also published footage capturing the fire in the port, taken at different times of the day – both at night and in daylight.

A massive fire broke out in the Russian port of Ust-Luga on the night of March 25 after a drone attack. According to geointelligence analysis, the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga plant was hit again.

And on March 27, the ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk were again under fire as a result of a new effective attack by the Defense Forces. Even then, experts said that after these two attacks, the port of Ust-Luga would be able to function only half-way, at best.

There were also estimates that by striking these two ports, Ukraine significantly reduced Russia’s ability to export oil and gas; according to some reports, the reduction could reach 40%.

And on March 29, it flew over Ust-Luz again – and the fire, which they had not been able to extinguish before, flared up with renewed vigor. The SBU later confirmed the defeat, adding that serious damage was recorded in the port territory.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of March 30, a strategic chemical plant in Togliatti, Russia, was attacked. In March, it was already being targeted. Now, after a visit from unknown benevolent drones, the plant is once again on fire.
