Dear colleagues, I want to share with you with my answer to the question why political discussion has appeared on LinkedIn as it is just for business…

LinkedIn is a professional networking platform dedicated to business, income, and investment. All of my businesses, assets, and income ($80 million) were nationalized by the Russians in February 2022 when they attacked and occupied southern Ukraine. This happened because the US refused to honor its sovereignty guarantees to Ukraine under the 1994 Budapest Agreement.
I hope this explanation makes it clear why and how political behavior and decisions can affect business, income, and even life in general.

In my experience, other people’s claim that “LinkedIn is for business, not politics” is

a) hilariously narrow minded about what constitutes professional life, (don’t politicians, doctors/nurses, academics, soldiers etc get a right to talk? Or only salespeople 😂)

b) put forward by a quite small number of people who almost always have really disgusting views and opinions. They don’t get invited to parties because of their shitty views, they lose friends and customers because of their shitty views, their children won’t talk to them any more because of their views … and now they have to feel bad even when they turn on their own phone?

(No wonder they are having narcissistic tantrums and want to silence other people to stop the uncomfortable feeling of their conscience/soul trying to be heard… 🤔).

The third is the parallel narrative of “June 2026” as an inevitable deadline for agreements to create a sense of inevitability and demoralize Ukrainian society.
The fourth is the promotion of the thesis that the United States can “bypass Europe” in sanctions, although key financial and technological restrictions are controlled by the European circuit.
The fifth is an attempt to present Russia as the only source of resources for the West, ignoring alternatives in Canada, Norway, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.
The sixth is the use of personal lobbying channels through foundations, think-tanks and “economic forums” to legalize digital in the information field.

The legend of the operation is simple: “The West will get trillions if it puts pressure on Ukraine.” The real goal is not a deal, but a split. Moscow is trying to quarrel between the United States and the EU, business with politicians, Ukrainian society with allies. At the same time, the second circuit is launched – discrediting the sanctions as supposedly meaningless, and the third circuit – promoting the idea that the world economy will not survive without Russian resources. This is an old Soviet scheme of “economic inevitability” that the Kremlin has been using since the 1970s.

The key thing that partners need to repeat is that investing in Russia is investing in political risk. In a country where the judicial system is controlled by the authorities, property is conditional, and war is an instrument of politics, no contract guarantees profit. The history of the last twenty years has proven this. Therefore, “12 trillion” is not an economy, but an instrument of psychological influence, tied to the negotiation cycle and to attempts to force Kyiv to make concessions.

“June 2026” should also be read as a media horizon of pressure, and not as the date of the agreement. Any real lifting of sanctions rests on the US Congress, on the legal mechanisms of the EU and Britain, and on political security guarantees for Ukraine.

What we are witnessing from the US is an absolute low – Trump continues to try to push Ukraine to give up their land for “Peace”. And yesterday he said that Ukraine “must come to the table fast”.

Let us all remember that Ukraine so far has accepted all ceasefires, they have shown up for all negotiations – but russia/US continues to push the country being invaded to give up… but almost no pressure on the attacker/invader!

So what Trump offers Ukraine is basically the same as putin offers Ukraine – Occupation!

PS While negotiating a “peace-deal” the US are working on a big trade deal with russia, which will be very very beneficial for Trumps family and inner circle. Corruption in plain sight…

Time is on Ukraine / Europe side in this war ! Russia is now loosing more soldiers than they recruit- and their economy is in dire straits. All economic parameters are flashing red. The budget deficit was 22,5 billion usd in janauary equal to 50% of the budgeted deficit for the whole year. From now on the economical collapse of Russia will accelerate throughout the year. This will not stop even the war stops! it may even get worse. For Europe this will ease the pressurre of rearmament and buy us more time to rearm. Ukraine can use this development to say no to the USA/Russia pressure in the peace negotiations. Trumps knows it.
Eventually Ukraine can tell USA to f…. off/ mind its own business.

Neither Washington nor Moscow, Trump or Putin, are in any position to ‘impose’ a misbegotten peace plan on Ukraine.

Ukraine is a sovereign nation. It’s up to the Ukrainian people to decide their form of government, determine their own foreign policy, strategic alliances, etc. With or without the full-throated support of her allies, Ukraine will continue to stand tall in defense of traditional liberal democratic values.

The Ukrainian people have agency in this fight. Ukraine’s fight is an existential struggle. By definition, Ukraine and her people have a right to self-determination, and therefore ought to be viewed as the first among equals in shaping the ongoing debate about war aims, strategy, tactics, peace terms, accountability and ultimately her place in the sun.

Only the speedy and conclusive defeat of Russia’s armed forces in Ukraine will lead to a just and equitable peace in Ukraine, Russian accountability, and a brighter future for Europe and the world.
