After airstrikes, half of Sevastopol is without power, and there are power outages in other cities of occupied Crimea

On the evening of Sunday, March 1, 2026, a partial blackout occurred in the temporarily Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Sevastopol. The power also went out in other cities on the Crimean peninsula.

This was reported by the enemy-controlled Sevastopolenergo.

“At 20:07 on March 1, a technological disruption occurred in the electrical networks of Sevastopolenergo LLC,” the company notes.

The reason for this “technological violation” is not disclosed.

The local pro-Russian news channel “ChP Sevastopol” reported at 8:49 p.m. about the “power outage in half of the city.  “

Later, at 9:15 p.m., the same resource provided additional details : no power – Balaklava, Kozacha Bay, Ocheretyana Bay, Streletska Bay, Fiolent, city center.

The pro-Ukrainian TV channel “Crimean Wind” emphasizes that the sudden power outage occurred not only in Sevastopol, but also in Feodosia, Saki, and Kerch, and in Saki and Kerch, the power went out after the sounds of explosions.

“It seems that there were flights to large energy supply hubs in Crimea, ” Crimean Wind suggests.

According to  Crimea. Realities” (a project of Radio Liberty’s Ukrainian service), air raid warnings were issued three times in Sevastopol during the day.
