80% of Ukraine’s territory has no protection against Russian ballistic missiles, – Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that 80% of Ukraine’s territory does not have systems capable of protecting against ballistic strikes.

The head of state stated this in an interview with Tagesschau, Censor.NET reports .

“I will not say where our Patriot systems are located . But 80% of our country does not have such systems against ballistic missiles ,” he noted.

According to the president, Ukraine, together with partners, is working on financing the procurement of air defense systems .

“Even if we are not given systems, we found the money for them together with our partners,” the head of state said.

Zelensky added that he personally conducted negotiations with Germany, Norway, the countries of Northern Europe, and Canada.

Air defense systems, the president says, are extremely expensive.

“They cost between 1.5 and 2 billion per system. And the missile costs between two and three million,” he said.

Zelensky noted that he had agreed to allocate additional funds for these needs.
