Last week, Ukraine launched an investigation into a gruesome video that purportedly shows the beheading of a Ukrainian soldier, in the latest accusation of atrocities said to have been committed by Russia since it invaded in February 2022.
The video spread quickly online and drew outrage from officials in Kyiv, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as international organizations. The Kremlin called the footage “horrible” but said it needed to be verified.
Very interesting hearings. What conclusions for this first step?!:
– Ukraine need more intelligences data to corroborate completely certains facts. Kostin want to be sure to have the most highest standard in terms of judicial investigation. Good thing.
For exemple, for the Dniepr bombing, it require who target, who order, who push the button… Not easy. By this way the genocidal nature of the the military Russians guidelines can be reinforced.
– Kostin chose another path, another practice regarding survivors of systematic and conflict-related sexual violence. Very important. The Murad code is now implemented. It allows victims to have the right care, the environment to work through the trauma and to be more “helpful” in seeking justice. This frees up the voices of victims much more. Crucial!
