In the Kherson region, Russian occupiers are searching the empty homes of local residents and taking away all household appliances and furniture.

“The Russian occupying forces do not stop looting in the temporarily occupied territories,” the evening summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states .

As noted, in the settlements of Gornostaivka, Kairy, Bratolyubivka, and Nizhni Sirogoza of the Kherson region, the occupiers, moving in groups of 10-15 people, search the empty homes of local residents and take away all household appliances and furniture.

Looting by Russians in Ukraine – what is known

The Russian occupiers distinguished themselves in Ukraine by a series of crimes, one of which was mass looting. From the first days of the full-scale war, the Russians looted the houses of Ukrainians – they took away everything they could, and even pets. As a result, the symbols of the war became the  washing machine  and the toilet, with which the fleeing invaders were spotted.

In addition, the Russians in the Kherson region looted  a historic chateau that survived two world wars. One of the most ridiculous robberies was the removal of a live raccoon from the Kherson Zoo. It is indicative that the Russians are obviously  very proud of this episode .

In turn, The New York Times reported that the looting of Ukrainian museums by the Russian occupiers became the largest theft of art objects  since World War II.
