On Saturday, January 14, Russia attacked Kiev with rockets . Their terrorist state launched from the north along a ballistic trajectory, said Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports Ukrayinska Pravda .

He explained why these missiles did not shoot down our air force: “Ballistics is not available for us to detect and shoot down.”

Experts are yet to determine exactly the type of missiles that Russia used to bombard the Ukrainian capital on January 14. It is assumed that these are either ballistic or S-300s that fly along a ballistic trajectory. And the air raid alert was announced only after the explosions due to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have effective means both for detecting ballistic missiles and for their destruction.

The monitoring group “Belarusian Gayun” reported that no launches were recorded from their territory during the day.

  1. What a shame! Such capabilities could’ve been provided a long time ago already if there was intelligence and courage available in all the pertinent Western capital cities.

    • Yes more needs to be provided, but what happened to the radars that were sent? This is Kyiv we are talking about, several countries have already provided some counter battery and other radar systems. I find it hard to swallow that the capital had nothing to detect or counter this.

What is your opinion?
