“Ruscists brought several Grad MLRS to the territory of the captured Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant yesterday. The invaders placed these weapons near power unit No. 6, right next to the territory of the plant’s spent fuel storage facility, where some “defensive structures” were previously built in a secret mode, violating all nuclear and radiation safety norms,” National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom” posted on Telegram.
Energoatom considers that the invaders are likely to launch Grad MLRS strikes on the opposite bank of the Dnipro River, in particular Nikopol and Marhanets towns, directly from the ZNPP’s territory, shielding themselves with power units and spent fuel storage facility.
“We appeal to the IAEA and the entire international atomic energy community, informing about the placement of additional Grad MLRS directly on ZNPP’s territory. And we once again call for the creation of a safety zone inside and around the plant for its complete demilitarization and de-occupation,” Energoatom said.
As reported, Russian troops captured the ZNPP on March 4. Since then, the invaders have placed military equipment and ammunition on the plant’s territory, constantly shelling both the surrounding area and the plant itself, destroying power lines and causing external power outages.

Why would the UN solve the occupation problem at the NPP? Then they would have no reason to conduct constant meetings with self congratulations. If they would have taken Putin’s illicit veto away 8 years ago this war would never have happened.
I agree. The UN is not useful. If the Ukraine can not be made to substitute for Russia as the successor to the Soviet Union (by virtue of Russia violating UN standards), then the UN should be dissolved and replaced with a more suitable structure to advance humanity. The UN was never intended to be a shield for genocide. That it is being used for such purposes now begs reanalysis over the structure.

The UN was formed in the ashes of WWII, why wouldn’t they be a “shield” to prevent another genocide? WWII was in large part, a genocide.

The UN was never intended to shield countries that are committing genocide. Russia is using their veto power as a shield while their sword cuts down babies and commits genocide.
