Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that Germany refused to transfer the Patriot air defense systems promised to Warsaw to Ukraine.

As Blaszczak noted on Twitter , he had a conversation with German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht. According to him, he was disappointed by the refusal to transfer these systems to Ukraine.

“Deployment of the Patriot in western Ukraine would increase the security of Poles and Ukrainians,” Blaschak said.

The Minister of Defense added that his country, together with Germany, is embarking on measures to deploy Patriot systems in Poland and connect them to the Polish command system.
