The Russian Ministry of Defense acknowledged explosions at military airfields in Engels and Ryazan, which are located hundreds of kilometers from the front line. The Israeli satellite company ImageSat International published an image of the aftermath of an explosion at an air base near Ryazan.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the strike was carried out by “Soviet-made unmanned aerial vehicles” allegedly launched by Ukraine.
