Russian President Vladimir Putin compared the brutal occupation of Ukrainian regions to “girls from Russian cities”, summing up that everyone – both Ukrainians and Russians – is supposedly “one people”.
Answering the question of why Russia attempted to annex Ukrainian regions, Putin said that “our people” live there.
At the same time, the head of the Kremlin, as always, distinguished himself with a strange comparison – this time comparing the residents of the occupied cities with the “young girls” of Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg.
“I think it becomes clear to everyone present here why we supported and eventually went for the recognition and acceptance into the Russian Federation of Donetsk, Luhansk, and then two more territories. Look at the young girls. What is this (participant of the meeting – ed.) Fedorova, who lives in the “Luhansk Republic”, is different from the same Fedorovs somewhere in Novosibirsk, in St. Petersburg or in Moscow? Nothing. These are our people,” Putin said.

And the experience of the annexation of Ukrainian territory
After nine years of hostilities in Donbas, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the “annexation” of eastern Ukraine in September 2022.
In addition, by the same decree, the Russian president illegally “annexed” the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. Already in November, the Armed Forces liberated the right bank of the Kherson region, including Kherson.
Today, neither Donetsk, nor Luhansk, nor Zaporizhzhia regions are fully controlled by Russia. Unsuccessful and bloody assaults by the Russian army have been going on for several months in the Donetsk region .
The world does not recognize the “annexation” of Ukrainian territories.

He chooses only to recognize the Viking aspect, which is a tiny fraction of Moskovia and a huge fraction of Ukraine.
