In addition, about 100 Belgian military instructors will begin training Ukrainian soldiers.
The Belgian government has approved a new military aid package that will include state-of-the-art equipment, including mobile laboratories and underwater drones.
According to Belgian Defense Minister Ludovin Dedonder, Ukraine will receive two mobile laboratories within three weeks, LeSoir reports . They can be deployed near locations where a chemical, bacteriological, radiological or nuclear incident could occur. They can also be used in natural disaster areas where hospitals and maternity homes have been destroyed.
Also included in the aid package are 10 underwater drones from ECA Robotics Belgium. They can find all underwater threats, including mines and spy equipment. “These are new high technologies that will help Ukrainians a lot. The Belgian army already has these machines,” Dedonder said.
In addition, about 100 Belgian military instructors will begin training Ukrainian soldiers within the framework of the European Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine).
