The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that he was forced to carry out a special operation in Syria due to the refusal of the Russian Federation to fulfill the agreements.

In his address, he recalled that in Sochi in 2019 he agreed with the Russian Federation on the cleansing of northern Syria from terrorists, writes  CNN Turk .

Turkey has appealed to Russia on this issue many times, but the Russian Federation has not done anything.

“We said that we will not be silent and that we will take action against the terrorists there if they cannot do it themselves. As part of this, we have neutralized 12 targets against the terrorists nesting in Kobane. There are no threats here. In this operation there is continuity. We did everything necessary on the ground and in the air,” added the Turkish leader.
