The European Parliament agreed on the text of the resolution recognizing the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism

The next meeting of the European Parliament in Strasbourg will be held on November 21-24.

The political groups of the European Parliament agreed on the text of the draft resolution on recognition of the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism .

“After four hours of negotiations between the political groups of the European Parliament, an agreement was reached on the text”, – said the member of the European Parliament Andryus Kubilius on the Twitter microblog .

In particular, Kubilius noted that the main point of the draft resolution reads as follows: “The European Parliament… recognizes Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and a state that uses terrorist means.

As reported on the website of the European Parliament, the next meeting in Strasbourg will take place on November 21-24.

Recognition of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism

On October 13, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted the Resolution “Further Escalation of the Russian Federation’s Aggression Against Ukraine”, in which it recognizes the Russian regime as a terrorist for the first time .

On October 18, the Parliament of  Estonia  recognized the ruling regime in the Russian Federation as terrorist.

On October 26, the Senate of Poland recognized the authorities of the Russian Federation as a terrorist regime.

In the Czech Republic , deputies recognized the current Russian regime as terrorist .

Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently called on all countries of the world to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
