Lavrov left the summit, probably to avoid a series of nasty questions from the West.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov , who led the Russian delegation to the G20 summit, fled Bali just before a massive attack on Ukraine.
According to reports in Russian propaganda media, Lavrov calculated the time before launching the first strikes on the territory of Ukrainian cities and fled the summit when an air raid alert was announced in Ukraine.
According to Rospropaganda, Lavrov left Bali at about 15:40 Kyiv time.
During the summit, the Russian minister told the G20 leaders about “neo-Nazis” in Ukraine, accusing Kiev of allegedly not being ready to sit down with Moscow at the negotiating table.
Lavrov also personally accused Zelensky of allegedly “lecturing” Russia: “We want to see concrete evidence that the West is seriously interested in disciplining Zelensky and explaining to him that this cannot continue, that this is not in the interests of the Ukrainian people and their himself.”
As you know, a few hours after that, Russia began a massive shelling of Ukrainian cities. Lavrov ran away from the summit, probably to avoid a series of unpleasant questions from the West, which the Kremlin is trying to convince in every possible way to start “negotiations”.
