Ukrainian fighters were able to recapture all the strategic facilities under the control of the occupiers
The Ukrainian troops are advancing in the Donetsk region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine broke through the defence line of the Russian occupiers and advanced 3-5 km near Bakhmut. Yehor Firsov, a soldier of the 109th Territorial Defense Brigade, spoke about this on social media.
Our defenders were able to occupy all the strategic locations and points that were previously under the control of the occupiers.
“Let’s say, those trenches and shelters, in which our combat units used to be in the first line of defence, have now become rear ones. That is, if the enemy was then conditionally across the field from us, now the Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced 3-5 km. Thanks to our assault forces, which made an extremely important and brave step and drove the enemy out of those positions,” Firsov said.
He also noted that heavy fighting is still going on near Bakhmut. Russian occupiers are shelling the city with Grads.
“There is now not a single district where enemy missiles would not target,” the military said.
The occupiers are trying to capture Soledar in the Donetsk region, which is located 15 km from Bakhmut.
“Therefore, the Soledar area is one of the hottest, or perhaps the hottest axis,” Firsov added.
