Five reasons why Ukraine should NOT negotiate with Russia

1️⃣ Diplomatic reason. Russia lies and their diplomacy cannot be trusted. Starting with Budapest memorandum, where Russia agreed to protect Ukrianian sovereignty, and ending with hundreds of direct lies from Kremlin, such as “we are not going to attack Ukraine.” They lie all the time. So, any diplomatic guarantees by Russia are not worth a dime.

2️⃣ Strategic reason. Russia will use the time out to rebuild its army for the next war. Any peace with Russia at this stage is a strategic defeat, since Russia will simply use the peace time to rebuild its army and prepare to attack Ukraine or some other countries.

3️⃣ The need for a regime change. Any “face-keeping” solution for Putin would mean that his regime would continue to rule the country. Russia will turn into a North Korea for the coming decades. The only chance to avoid Russia turning into a large North Korea is a total defeat of Russia in Ukraine. After a total defeat in Ukraine, those political forces and their supporters, which pushed for the invasion and radical aggression, will have lost all credibility. This moment will enable business elites, elites of civil administration and those parts of military and security services who warned earlier of the risks of an invasion of Ukraine to gain upper hand.

4️⃣ Punish nuclear blackmailing. Some people still express the concern of Russia using nuclear weapons. Let me put it bluntly, as soon as we give in to nuclear blackmailing, we are done. Then any country with nuclear weapons can take the territory of another country without nuclear weapons and ensure victory by threatening the rest of the world. Moreover, it would mean that all the countries of the world should join the race of obtaining nuclear weapons! The only way to stop this madness is to punish Russia severely for nuclear blackmailing.

5️⃣ Moral reason. Leaving territories under russian control means handing millions of Ukrainians over to russian despotism, the repeat of gulag and holodomor. Russia has clearly stated why they started this war – to eliminate Ukraine. Period. Timothy Snyder, a distinguished historian at Yale University, has clearly outlined the evidence of russia committing 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲. The Russian official press agency “RIA Novosti” has explicitly published a program for the complete elimination of the Ukrainian nation as such, basically openly calling for 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 (something that even 𝗛𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗿 didn’t do). Add to that the atrocities, war crimes, and crimes against humanity that have already been documented against Ukrainian people.

Taken all of this into account, how can anyone call for peace negotiations? Such peace automatically means annihilation of all Ukrainians. Only russian total defeat guarantees the security of Europe and the US. Full military support for Ukraine therefore is not only about protecting Ukraine, it is also about protecting the future peace of the free world.

  1. That’s about the size of it Roman.
Impossible to argue with even one word of it.
Now: friends of Ukraine: send everything they need to extirpate the orcs and end putler’s genocide forever.
