The dictator’s army is ‘weak in the head’
British military expert, Colonel Glen Grant said that the Ukrainian authorities should send a clear signal to Belarus and warn against an invasion attempt. According to him, the regular Belarusian army is unlikely to dare to attack Ukraine.
At the same time expert emphasized that if this happens, that if this happens, Lukashenka’s troops will be rapidly destroyed. Colonel Grant spoke about this on the air of the Espresso TV channel.
According to him, the Belarusian army transferred a large amount of military equipment to the Russian Federation. The colonel doubts that an invasion of Ukraine is possible with Belarusian forces.
At the same time, he added that the Ukrainian authorities will play an important role in this process. The expert said that President Volodymyr Zelensky should give a clear signal to Minsk about the consequences of a possible invasion of Ukraine.
“This army [Belarusian army – Ed.] is very weak in the head. It does not have proper training, and a lot of military equipment has already been given to Russia. This is not an army that can really attack. However, this does not mean that they cannot be forced to do so. I think that the answer to this question is in the hands of Zelensky. He must make sure that the political and the entire Belarusian system and its government understand that if Belarus crosses the border with Ukraine, then this will be the end. Ukraine will enter Belarus and liberate it from those in power,” Grant said.
Also, the British military expert said that the Belarusian military did not want to fight with Ukraine. According to him, the attempt to invade Ukraine will lead to huge casualties among the Belarusian and Russian troops.
“We must make it clear to them that there should be no border crossing. They can’t do that because they don’t have enough troops to do it reasonably. If they attack, there will be many more deaths on the part of both Russia and Belarus. I don’t think Belarusian soldiers want to fight you at all. I am sure that they don’t want to,” the expert said.
