The Scandinavian country is highly likely to hand over the FH77BW L52 Archer self-propelled guns to the Ukrainian defenders
Sweden agreed to a renewed defense policy. Within its framework, the Scandinavian state will “more actively” send military aid to Ukraine to fight against Russian aggression.
The Minister of Defense of Sweden, Paul Jonson, said this in an interview with the Dagens Nyheter portal.
The official said that he held a bilateral meeting with his Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov. During the conversation, Jonson promised more “active” military support from official Stockholm. At the same time, the Minister of Defense of Sweden did not specify what kind of weapons he was talking about.
Earlier, deputy Mikael Oskarsson from the defense committee of the parliament of the Scandinavian country made it clear that Ukraine can receive two types of equipment. These are RBS 70 portable anti-aircraft missile systems, which have four upgrades, and FH77BW L52 Archer wheeled self-propelled artillery installations. The Swedish mass media, with reference to the military, reported that the 12 mentioned self-propelled guns would be handed over to Ukraine.
Helping our country in the fight against Russian aggression is one of Sweden’s military priorities, along with investments in state defense and joining NATO.
