Ukraine returned 50 defenders from Russian captivity: exchange details revealed (photo, video)

As a result of another exchange of prisoners , 52 Ukrainians returned home, including two “Azov” and a sailor from the island of Serpents.

This was announced by the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak in his Telegram channel, posting the relevant photos.

“Our people are returning home. We carried out another exchange of prisoners. We managed to release 52 of our people – officers, doctors, sergeants and soldiers. Among them – 12 NGU fighters, including two “Azov”, 18 from the Navy, 8 from the State Border Guard Service, 9 from the Troops , 3 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 2 civilians,” Yermak said.

According to him, in particular, the defenders of Azovstal, the defenders of Mariupol and people who saved lives are returning home.

“We managed to exchange the head of the surgical department of the Mariupol military hospital, who was with Azovstal, and a young military surgeon of the 65th military mobile hospital. We are returning a marine whose wife recently got out of captivity and a volunteer from Mariupol with the symbolic surname “Moskva”, and also a sailor from the Serpent’s Island”, – napsiav Yermak.

He said that some soldiers taken prisoner in the Chernobyl zone would also be at home.

“We do not stop and continue to fulfill the President’s task to “return all Ukrainians home.” Thanks to the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. We still have a lot of work to do, but we have an important result – our homes. We will return everyone,” Yermak said.
