In Crimea, a Russian propagandist was shot dead at a training ground: all the details

Russian propagandist Svetlana Babayeva, who headed the Simferopol branch of Rossiya Segodnya, died in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This is reported by Russian media.

It is noted that Babaeva died “as a result of an accident at one of the training grounds in the Crimea, where she was engaged in military sports shooting.

Another propagandist Margarita Simonyan reacted to the death of Babayeva:

“Just yesterday we discussed with her how we will develop in new territories. Oh, Sveta, Sveta, how can it be.”

Updated. According to Russian media, the propagandist died from a “stray bullet.” Information about this was confirmed by her immediate boss, propagandist Dmitry Kiselev: “I was torn” for the ribbon.

Babayeva worked in Putin’s presidential pool, was the editor-in-chief of the propaganda site Gazeta.ru.

In 2004-2006, she headed the representative office of RIA Novosti in the UK, and in 2008-2012 she was the editor-in-chief of the agency’s bureau in the United States. She also worked as deputy editor-in-chief of the Moscow News newspaper, editor-in-chief of the Profile magazine.

  1. Stray bullet? Is that like suicide in the back of the head thing? Or accidentally falling off a ten story balcony? Or perhaps a stray heart attack?
