The decision was made on October 11 at a meeting at the Moscow City Hall.

In the underground parking lots of the capital of Russia, which is at war with Ukraine , beds, heaters and first aid kits are being equipped. They plan to use them as bomb shelters.

This was reported to the Russian edition of “Important stories”  by residents of the houses of the society of co-owners of housing “Atom”, on the doors of which there are announcements about the preparation of bomb shelters.

Muscovites were urged to free the parking lot from cars and personal belongings by October 18, since it will be “brought in accordance with the direct purpose of the civil defense facility.” The announcement states that the corresponding decision was made on October 11 at a meeting in the Moscow City Hall.

It is noted that the first preparation of shelters in case of shelling in Russia began in the spring. Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev instructed the southern Russian regions “to bring the protective structures of civil defense into proper condition.” 

Since the beginning of the war, the Sochi City Department has twice sent letters to the heads of management companies regarding the readiness of “protective structures of civil defense” and “anti-radiation shelters.”
