78% of Russians believe that the results of “referendums” in the self-proclaimed republics reflect the opinion of the majority of the inhabitants of these territories.
In Russia, almost 80% of citizens supported the “accession” of the self-proclaimed so-called “DPR”, “LPR”, as well as the occupied Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to the Russian Federation.
The poll results were published by the Public Opinion Foundation.
One and a half thousand people in 53 regions of Russia took part in the survey. According to the results of the study, 78% of those polled supported the annexation, 7% were against it. The rest either found it difficult to answer, or stated that they agreed with the annexation of “only some territories.
37% of respondents believe that the “referenda” in the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR” were held in a timely manner, and 44% think that they should have been held earlier. 6% said “referendums” should not have been held. Similar answers were received to a similar question about Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
