Russia vetoed a UN Security Council resolution condemning the attempted annexation of the occupied territories of Ukraine. Only Moscow voted against.

Four countries abstained from voting: China, India, Brazil and Gabon.
This document condemns Russian “referendums” in the occupied territories of Ukraine, and also demanded that Russia withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territories.
“One day he will need two hands to surrender. Today, one lonely hand humiliated the UN Security Council. The lack of necessary treatment has turned Russia into a cancerous tumor in the body of the Security Council. It must be removed before the entire UN system begins to metastasize,” the representative of Ukraine commented on the situation in UN Sergei Kislitsa.
Attempted annexation of territories
On September 23-27, the Russian invaders held pseudo-referendums in the occupied parts of Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Lugansk regions with the aim of joining the Russian Federation.
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his readiness to annex the temporarily occupied territories to Russia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that the nuclear doctrine would apply to the territories “attached” to the Russian Federation .
The countries of the G7 and the European Union have announced that they will impose sanctions against the Russian Federation for organizing these pseudo-referendums.

This is not the first time that the UNSC has been transformed into a circus arena by mafia land. The United Nations Security Council is the dominant obstacle of the entire United Nations organization, basically making it into a useless entity. It never served a favorable and suitable purpose and it never will.
