In the de-occupied territories of the Kharkiv region, Russian broadcasting has been completely turned off, in those settlements where there is electricity, the work of Ukrainian broadcasting is being restored.
In Izyum and Balakleya, Kharkiv region, the invaders completely destroyed the TV towers.
The head of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, Olga Gerasimyuk, announced this on the air of an information telethon.
“The Russians, as soon as they enter our territories, immediately try to destroy our towers, destroy the entire infrastructure. Now in the Kharkiv region we receive information that the towers were completely destroyed in Izyum and Balakliya, we need to start all over again,” Gerasimyuk emphasized.
She added that Russian broadcasting in the de-occupied territories of the Kharkiv region has been completely stopped, and Ukrainian broadcasting is gradually being restored in those settlements where there are no problems with electricity supply.
“Now Russian broadcasting has been completely turned off in the Kharkiv region, where the de-occupation is taking place, where our troops came. I can’t name the points, but today you and I can be seen and heard in the Kharkiv region, “united news” makes their way there. I hope when it recovers power supply, because Russia tried to knock out the light from those territories, then the receipt of information will resume,” Gerasimyuk emphasized.
As UNIAN reported, on September 14, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that almost all of Kharkiv region had been liberated from Russian invaders, and about 150,000 Ukrainians lived in the occupation for more than five months.
