In particular, about 388 settlements have already been liberated in the region
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have already liberated about 8,500 square kilometers of territory in the Kharkiv region .
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar on the social network Facebook .
“Yesterday I promised you updated data on the territories liberated in the Kharkiv region. It is very important to perceive them in the general context of the war, and not separately. We have 2,500 km of front line. Of these, 1,300 km are active military operations. We are conducting a defensive operation, within which it is possible to implement offensive actions,” Malyar stressed.
“Yes, we have been waiting for this success for a long time, but we still have to fight and fight. Before complete victory, we still have a lot of our people and our lands to liberate. We still need a lot of time, effort and patience,” the deputy minister noted.
She clarified that for the liberated territories in the Kharkiv region, the figures are constantly being updated, because the process is in dynamics.
“In addition, the liberated territories still require additional security and stabilization measures in order to be able to live there safely. Therefore, official reports with the numbers of liberated settlements are provided with a deliberate delay and may or may not take into account the stabilization measures taken, and therefore differ “, – emphasized Malyar.
Thus, according to her, since September 6, the following people have been released in the Kharkiv region :
– about 8,500 sq. km.
– about 388 settlements
– about 150 thousand people.
