The counteroffensive of the defenders of Ukraine in the Kherson direction is moving more slowly than in the Kharkiv direction, because this is an agricultural region with irrigation canals that the occupiers can use as defensive trenches.

This explanation was given by Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov for the  Financial Times .

He noted the geographical specificity of the region as a factor that makes it impossible to attack quickly. In addition, 1,200 Chechen warriors were sent to reinforce Russian positions, Reznikov noted, and added that the purpose of the “Kadyrovtsy” was to frighten Russian soldiers and not give them a chance to desert.

Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: what is known

In the south and in the Kharkiv region, the  counteroffensive  of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced at the end of August, continues. According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, since the beginning of September, the Armed Forces  of Ukraine have liberated about 2,000 square kilometers .

The General Staff reports on dozens of de-occupied villages. On September 8, it became known that Balakleya had been taken under control, the Western media write about the release of raisins, the fighting continued in Kupyansk, an important railway connection of the occupiers.

According to US officials, there are indications that the  current offensive could be an early stage offensive that could significantly push back Russia’s front line.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation calls the withdrawal of troops from the Kharkiv region  a regrouping  – the defeated forces will allegedly be thrown into the Donetsk direction.

At the same time, as of September 10, the invaders did not abandon their attempts to go on the offensive  in the areas of 8 settlements in the Donbass.  The attempts were resolutely repulsed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As the chairman of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov said, as of September 11, 2022, the  Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated about 40 settlements  in the Kharkiv region.

  1. Okay, the Kherson region is clear … irrigation canals and putler’s killer squads … but he forgot the Kharkiv region. I will do it for him.
The terrain in the Kharkiv region is not nearly as flat and featureless as the one in the Kherson region. Although, the small hills and rolling terrain can give a defender – orcs – cover, it will also cover an attacker – UA forces. In addition, the Kharkiv region has been thinned out of orc troops in recent weeks to be sent to the Kherson area. Why did the mafia regime allow their border area to be so exposed? They were completely fooled by Ukraine’s constant announcements of a counterattack in Kherson. This is what happens when you have:
    A. A complete moron leader – putler – who plays Adolf Hitler and interferes with the work that generals should do.
    Or…
    B. Complete morons as generals who were given their positions solely on their qualities as ass-kissing monkeys instead of generalship skills.
