An American strategic bomber B-52 arrived in Poland.
Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced this on Twitter .
“Polish-American cooperation is getting closer. A B-52 bomber arrived in Poland today. Our interoperability and capabilities to protect NATO’s eastern flank are growing,” he wrote.
According to Polish Radio , the B-52 is an eight-engine Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, a long-range strategic bomber. The aircraft is also capable of carrying several tens of tons of various types of conventional cargo, bombs, missiles and nuclear weapons.
Recently, a B-52 bomber has been circling over South Eastern Europe.
As UNIAN wrote, back in April 2022, Poland announced that the country was open to deploying NATO nuclear weapons. This would help contain Moscow, the government noted.
