United Nations Secretary General António Guterres will visit Ukraine on August 18-19.

It is reported by Reuters.

In particular, Guterres will travel to Lviv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday, August 18, and then visit the port in Odessa on Friday, August 19.

The visit of the UN Secretary General to Ukraine is intended to raise the issue of the “grain agreement”, the shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, and the killing of captured Ukrainian soldiers in the Yelenovka pre-trial detention center.

Then Guterres will travel to Turkey to see exactly how the coordination center works. Let us add that Erdogan’s visit to Ukraine has not yet been announced in Istanbul.

Recall that in April, Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres visited Ukraine.

  1. So, what exactly is the purpose of this trip? Will the UN have any answers to Ukraine’s most pressing needs, or will there only be plenty of CO2 exhausted?
