There is a chance to see Girkin going on the attack, the President’s Office said.

The former so-called “head of the defense ministry” of the self-proclaimed “DNR” Igor Girkin (Strelkov, “Strelok”), who worked in the Russian Federal Security Service, was allegedly detained in the Crimea occupied by the Russian Federation while trying to get into the war with Ukraine.

The “Savior of the Russian Federation” was eager to fight and “command at least an army,” ex-commander of the Gorlovka militants Igor Bezler (nickname “Bes”) said on a social network.

The former leader of the militants also published a photo, which allegedly shows Girkin without a mustache.

Information also appeared on the network that Girkin got to the peninsula using a fake passport, in which the name Sergey Runov was indicated. Later, information appeared that Girkin still managed to break through the cordons.

The details of Strelok’s detention have already been announced by Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, on Feigin LIVE.

“According to some reports, he was released and allowed to fight in the Kherson region. So we have a chance to see this” heroic “man somewhere near Snegurovka, going on the attack,” the source said.

Arestovich added that “he went to the Kherson region, not to Zaporozhye.”

Recall that Igor Girkin has repeatedly criticized the actions of the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation during the large-scale war with Ukraine, which the Kremlin began early in the morning on February 24 this year.

In particular, in August he argued that now the failure of the Russian military strategy in Ukraine is “obvious”, and suggested repainting the Kremlin in a “yellow-black” color .

In the spring of 2014, Russian troops captured the Ukrainian Crimea, and then invaded part of the Donbass and supported the militants who created the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR”.

Igor Girkin in May 2014 became the “head of the DPR Ministry of Defense”, and in August of the same year he left the “post”. Later, Strelok fled from Ukrainian territory to the Russian Federation.

  1. Clearly, Girkin has a death wish. He senses the end of putin’s evil regime and can’t stand the thought. I otherwise can’t figure out why he would want to go fight in a country with so many who wish his death.

  2. Sounds like he was detained and “conscripted”. He may get to do his impersonation of splatter man yet.

  3. Both sides have reason to exterminate him. (please read this in a Dalek voice)

  4. I don’t want him to die.
    Yet.
He knows a lot, so I prefer him to keep revealing secrets or being captured so the SBU can hear him out.
