Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, did not support the proposal to create a demilitarized zone around the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant . He spoke about allegedly possible “provocations” by Ukraine.

According to Nebenzi, the invaders allegedly “protect” the nuclear power plant, in particular “from terrorist attacks.”

“The demilitarization of the station can make it vulnerable to those who want to visit it. Nobody knows what their goals and objectives will be. We cannot rule out some kind of provocation, terrorist attacks on the station, which we must protect,” Nebenzya said cynically. , quotes  “Interfax” .

The situation at the Zaporozhye NPP: what is known

Recall that Zaporozhye NPP has been controlled by Russian invaders since March 4. Also under the occupiers is the satellite city of NPP-Energodar.

On August 5, the Russian invaders  fired on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant . A hit on a high-voltage communication line was recorded, and emergency protection worked at one of the power units.

Also  , three “arrivals”  were recorded at the station site, near one of the power units where the nuclear reactor is located. The invaders seriously damaged the nitrogen-oxygen station and the combined auxiliary building.
