The Russians have begun to openly blackmail the whole world, declaring that they have mined the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (NPP) and are ready to blow it up, Energoatom reported on its Telegram channel on Monday.
“In his statement, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian armed forces, Major General Valery Vasiliev, who now commands the Zaporizhia NPP garrison, said that “there will be either Russian land or a scorched desert,” the company said.
According to Energoatom, it was Vasiliev who announced that the Russian occupiers had mined all the important facilities of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
“As you know, we have mined all the important facilities of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. And we do not hide this from the enemy. We warned them. The enemy knows that the plant will be either Russian or no one’s. We are ready for the consequences of this step. And you, warriors – liberators must understand that we have no other way. And if there is the toughest order, we must fulfill it with honor,” Vasiliev told his soldiers.
Earlier, Andriy Yusov, a spokesman for the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said that the agency had confirmed information about the mining of Zaporizhia NPP power units by Russian troops.
Russian invaders on August 6 in the evening again launched a missile attack on the territory of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, as a result of which three radiation monitoring sensors were damaged around the site with the station’s dry storage facility for spent nuclear fuel.
“Consequently, timely detection and response in the event of a deterioration in the radiation situation or leakage of radiation from containers of spent nuclear fuel is not yet possible,” Energoatom said.
“As you know, we have mined all the important facilities of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. And we do not hide this from the enemy. We warned them. The enemy knows that the plant will be either Russian or no one’s. We are ready for the consequences of this step. And you, warriors – liberators must understand that we have no other way. Where is the condemnation from the world’s bodies over this threat of nuclear destruction? All we hear from the WH, UN, AI, EU, is crickets. When will someone in the WH declare this nazi regime a state sponsor of terrorism?
What this orc is saying, if Ukraine start liberating the South, he will blow up Russians and Ukrainians alike, commiting the worst nuclear disaster since Russia caused the last one in Chornobyl.

One can’t help but wonder why the defenders allowed these vermin to get anywhere near such a vital facility? Did they have collaborator assistance?
The question is how to respond? I suggested a while back that the orcs were preparing a nuclear fallback in the event that they start losing and maybe this is part of it. What’s different is that they no longer care about deploying a false flag; they are proud to announce it as their own work.
The US should formally ask the RuZZian nazis whether this commander is operating on his own initiative or on direct kremlin orders? Is putler prepared to admit such a thing?
I think it might be possible to destroy a nuclear facility without triggering a nuclear explosion and I hope someone is investigating this option right now.
The Israelis have had a plan in place for years to respond to Iran if they think that it has developed a nuclear bomb and a delivery system, so the burden falls on the Budapest signatories, who caused this horror by not honouring their obligations in 2014 and again in 2022, to devise a plan.
If such a strike is not possible without causing a terrible radiation leak, the war will continue anyway. The Ukrainians will not submit to nazi blackmail. If the putinazis start being pushed off Ukrainian land and they explode these mines, there will be a nuclear catastrophe like Chernobyl. But how will putler benefit from that?

Dear Europe,
I hope this piece of rhetoric makes it clear that we are dealing with an enemy that’s mentally stuck in a fictional reality. Unfortunately, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is not fictional. It is also the largest in Europe.
This is nuclear blackmailing and terrorism in its purest form. And this time, it’s unwise to think the trouble will stay confined in the lands of those Slavic tribes. A nuclear disaster does not differentiate, and it will not bother to check your EU passport. You are not safer from it in Paris or Amsterdam than me in Kyiv.
So dear Europe, dear world, can we please finally _act_ on this? Can we please stop all trade with Russia ASAP, and push through more sanctions that would make it impossible for them to continue the war?
