14 years ago today, Russia attacked Georgia. Still today, they occupy 20% of the country. If the west had honestly acknowledged what really happened in Georgia, the invasion of Ukraine might never have happened. Russia is monstrous aggressor. #putinwarcriminal

End of Khatuna’s post.
…………………………………………
Georgia endured Five Days of RuSSian terror. Ukraine have had to endure for it for half a year already, simply because the west did not act decisively in 2008.
Instead, the EU sent Nicholas Sarkozy; a known Russia shill, to “negotiate” the “ceasefire”. Which turned out to be the theft of 20% of its land and creeping annexation of further Georgian land. Then came the publication of a shameful report that blamed Georgia for Russia’s murderous attack.
Georgia got no reparations from Russia and zero help from the west. It is now run covertly from the sidelines by what Brian Whitmore refers to as a “Russian oligarch with a Georgian name” : Bidzina Ivanishvili.
Victim blaming is straight out of the Kremlin’s playbook. Today’s example is of course that of AmneZty, who incredibly had the temerity to blame the victim.
Renny Harlin made a great movie about this. It can be seen free on YouTube because Putin jackboot lickers in Hollywood ensured at the time it got poor distribution and lacklustre reviews.
Petro Poroshenko has written on his FB page:
The eighth of August 2008.
That day the world did not believe its eyes when Russia managed to open aggression against the friendly people of Georgia.
Already then the Kremlin demonstrated that the norm of international law does not exist for him. That independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighbors is a terrible challenge for him. What to live in peace, security and welfare Putin does not want. All he needs is a war.
And then there was 2014 and after all February 24, 2022.
The full-scale invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine with new force revealed the criminal, inhuman, terrorist entity of the Kremlin regime and all its heads. It is quite obvious that Putin himself will not be able to stop. We have to stop it together. Stop in Ukraine and forever.
We believe that unwavering unity and solidarity against the aggressor, more weapons and sanctions, the global anti-Putin coalition can restore peace, stability and security and restore justice!
