Miami will hand over 167 firearms to Ukrainian Irpin this week.

This was announced by the mayor of Irpin Alexander Markushin in his Telegram channel .

In June, the Miami police began a campaign to buy weapons from the townspeople called “Guns 4 Ukraine”. Those wishing to give away unnecessary weapons were paid from 50 to 200 dollars per video

Also, the police added confiscated pistols and machine guns to the bought ones.

“Now the legal procedure for transferring weapons to Irpin is being completed. The appropriate license and necessary permits have been obtained. In fact, today we are developing a model according to which, I sincerely believe, in the future Irpin and other cities of Ukraine will be able to receive weapons for their defense. In particular, negotiations with the city are ongoing Houston,” Markushin said.

The received weapons will be handed over to the Irpin police and territorial defense fighters.

In addition, today the City Council voted for Irpin and Miami to become sister cities. The corresponding decision was made in Miami at the end of July.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Kiev City Council deprived Minsk  of the sister city status .

  1. This is an awesome idea. I hope many other American cities follow this model. Law enforcement, National Guard, and we’ll armed citizens can all help with surplus firearms of all sizes and types. But again send a ton of ammo for all of it. Be cool for major cities to partner with a Ukrainian city and send these legally to local Law enforcement agencies to disperse where needed. 🌟Miami 🇺🇸💙💛🇺🇦

  2. What is in the pic looks useless. The one that looks like an AR-15 might be useful, if it’s in decent condition.

    • I tend to differ. Something that can turn an orc into dog food certainly isn’t useless, Mr. Ohengineer. I’m sure that most of these weapons will be used by law enforcement and for other non-combat uses anyway. Every little bit helps when you’re fighting a huge monster like mafia land!

  3. Thank you, Miami! I hope that this sets a precedent case in which many other cities follow Miami’s lead. It’s not a bad idea at all to flood Ukraine with weapons and ammo in this difficult struggle for freedom!
