My heart breaks more. As each day goes by.

The barbarity of russia is revolting. Castration, murder, rape, torture, starvation, killing children, shelling cities. Unspeakable evil.

Two days ago russians released a video of a Ukrainian soldier being tortured by russian terrorist. Yesterday they shelled a detention center in Olenivka, where Ukrainian soldiers were kept as prisoners of war, in an effort to hide their crimes. An attack that killed 53 and injured 130 Mariupol defenders.

Help us end it.

The perpetrator of the castration is believed to be a Kalmyk named Vitaliy.

LinkedIn page : We Are Ukraine says:

There is no distinction between Russian diplomats calling for the execution of Ukrainian POWs and Russian troops carrying out the execution in Olenivka — they are all complicit in war crimes.

It was emphasized on Facebook by Oleg Nikolenko, spokesman for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to statements made by the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom about killing Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka, according to Ukrinform.

“Read this when you hear that Russia cannot be isolated: there is no difference between Russian diplomats calling for the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war and Russian troops carrying out the execution in Olenivka; they are all complicit in these war crimes and must be held accountable. It is time to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism,” said the diplomat.

I will try to be as little emotional as I can, but yesterday was one of the darkest days of the war.

At the beginning of March, Mariupol was surrounded by Russian troops and on March 18th surrender of Azovstal steel plant began. Plant that became a shelter for military as well as civilians.

In April 21th Putin “gave an order to stop bombing Azovstal and just surround it”. Did he? Of course. He lies. He ALWAYS lies. The bombings continued while Azovstal was left without water, food and any means of survival. While 500 civilians were transported out by corridors the fighters remained. As well as the most famous “Azov” with many wounded.

It’s impossible to describe the bravery of Azovstal fighters and how vital role they played, keeping the enemy on alert and distracting away from other directions while Ukrainian army had the time and change to enforce the troops. Literally bleeding to death. And even though President Zelenskyy, as a Chief Commander, repeatedly gave permission to surrender as they more than fulfilled their mission, they decided to stay and fight another day.

Until they were promised that surrendering might save their lives, there might be a way.. They believed.

In May 17th Ministry of Defence of Ukraine confirmed that 256 fighters, including 51 seriously wounded, have surrendered and taken through so-called “Red Cross” corridors to the closest city in occupied Donets oblast. The city was Olenivka and the location was Olenivka prison.

UN and Red Cross promised that the fighters will be unharmed as protected by international law. The world was watching and vouching for the heroes.

On July 29th in Olenivka prison where the fighters, now hostages were held, was an explosion. At least 53 prisoners were killed. The General Staff of Ukraine reported that Russia shelled the penal colony to cover up the torture and murders of Ukrainian prisoners of war.

So what do UN and Red Cross do now? What do you do when you see that international law doesn’t really work “in hands of terrorists”?

Red Cross:” Our thoughts are with all who have been wounded and the families who are frantically trying to learn whether their loved ones are alive or have been injured or killed. All prisoners of war, wherever they are held, are protected under international humanitarian law.”

And now what? What now?

EVERY day people are dying because one terrorist is doing whatever he wants. Deliberately. “What you can do?” And how come the answer in the 21st-century Europe is “almost nothing”.

Have we really learned nothing from history?

“Thank you for the shelter, #Azovstal — the place of my death and my life. Btw, while I’m in captivity, I’ll leave you photos of the best quality, send them to all journalistic awards and photo contests, if I win something, after the release, it will be very nice. Thank you all for your support. See you.” – soldier of the Azov Regiment Dmytro Kozatsky portraying the defense of Azovstal.

I don’t know about his destiny.

In social networks, a hunt has begun for the identification of this Russian war criminal, who mocked a Ukrainian prisoner and cut off his genitals with a knife on camera.

Update 12/07: The soldier who cut off the genitals with a knife is a Kalmyk named Vitaly.
