After losing to Ukraine, Russia may become completely different, said the adviser to the head of the President’s Office.
The fate of how all post-Soviet countries will look like in the future, and above all, Russia and Belarus, depends on the victory of Ukraine .
This opinion was expressed by the anti-crisis adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Mykhailo Podolyak on the air of the informational telethon.
“There is a paradox, a very interesting paradox. The fate of not only Ukraine depends on the victory of Ukraine, but also the fate of how almost all post-Soviet countries will look like in the future, and above all Belarus. Will there be such a country at all, will it have its own identity? whether it will have a chance to really become an interesting country and a sovereign country,” Podolyak emphasized.
The adviser to the head of the President’s Office told how the victory of Ukraine will affect the fate of all countries, including the aggressor country.
“Firstly, if Russia loses, then this is very important for Belarus, even if they indirectly support the Russian Federation today. Secondly, will Russia exist and in what form. Because if Russia loses, then it must go through a certain transformation, and probably it will be a completely different Russia. I think that there will be more than one country on the territory of this state,” Podolyak said.
He noted that Ukraine has been entrusted with a great fundamental mission – not only to win the war with the Russian Federation and defend its territory, but also to do what was not done in 1991.
“On the territory of Belarus, there will no longer be this Soviet “scoop”, all the more so it will not be on the territories of the Russian Federation. But at least Russia needs to lose – this is a must. In order for Ukraine to get everything that needs to be received, because Ukraine should be a leader in Europe – this is unconditional. For Belarus to survive, in principle, as a state. And for Russia … to try to build some other reality and still become to some extent a civilized state” , – Podolyak emphasized.
Also, the adviser to the head of the President’s Office noted, answering the host’s question, why not give Ukraine a gift for the Day of Ukrainian Statehood and finally break off diplomatic relations with Belarus, which states in plain text that it supports the aggressor country in everything.
“An interesting and, in my opinion, correct proposal. We must listen to it, we must think about it. Because it seems to me that Belarusian statehood does not exist. If we are talking about Ukrainian statehood, this is already an axiom for the world with a great historical perspective. the proposal is sensible, because, indeed, Mr. Lukashenko behaves extremely primitively and defiantly … He destroyed the reputation of his country, destroyed the prospects of his country and destroyed his place in the history of this country, just like Mr. Putin,” Podolyak emphasized
Recall, on July 28, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy continues to deliver air and missile strikes, including from the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The Russians fired on a military unit in the Kiev region .
The positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region were also fired upon, there are dead. In total, about 20 shells were fired at the positions of our troops. It was established that the shelling was carried out from the area of the settlement Zyabrovka of the Republic of Belarus.
Today, July 28, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Ukrainian Statehood for the first time. The holiday coincides with the Day of the Baptism of Kievan Rus. Last year, President Zelensky signed a corresponding decree on the approval of the Statehood Day. On May 31, 2022, Parliament passed this law.
