The head of intelligence of the 299th tactical aviation brigade, major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Kukurba died yesterday, July 26, while performing a combat mission.
During the full-scale invasion of the Russian invaders, 28-year-old Oleksandr Kukurba was awarded Ukrainian orders three times. On March 22, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree for his personal courage and selfless actions in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath.
On April 14, he became a Hero of Ukraine, and on July 6 he received the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, II degree.
July 27, 28, and 29 have been declared days of mourning in the Hero’s homeland — in the Nizhny Verbizka OTG of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
