The intersection of Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue in New York City is planned into the Ukrainian Way. This microdistrict of Brooklyn is called “Little Odessa” because of the large number of immigrants from the USSR.

Later, the diplomat published a document from which it follows that we are talking about the intersection of Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue.
According to local publication Pix11 , a bill passed by the New York City Council calls for the renaming of the intersection of two MacDonald and Church Avenues in Brooklyn as Little Bangladesh and Woodside Avenue between 76th and 79th Streets in Queens as Little Thailand.
In total, changes may affect 78 streets and public places throughout New York. The document must be approved by the mayor of the city, Eric Adam.
The Brooklyn area of Brighton Beach is known for being chosen by citizens of the Russian Federation and immigrants from the former USSR. It is even called “Little Odessa”.
