In Belarus , a student was imprisoned for reposting a post on social media condemning Russian aggression. The girl, named Danuta Perednyaya, received 6.5 years in prison.

On February 28, 2022, Danuta was arrested by the Belarusian security forces. A 20-year-old girl was informed of the suspicion of “damaging the national security of Belarus and offending Lukashenka.”
On February 27, Danuta criticized the actions of Putin and Lukashenka in a student chat, and also called on everyone to come to a rally against the war. She expressed the opinion that the army of Belarus should not join the war.
