
The company completed work on restoring the fixed Internet network in the cities of Chernihiv, Nizhyn, Irpin, Akhtyrka. Thus, 29 thousand subscribers again have access to high-speed home Internet. In general, the cost of network restoration amounted to more than UAH 4.26 million.
Also, active work is underway to restore the network in Kharkov, Nikolaev and the surrounding area. Already 750 homes again have access to fixed Internet from Kyivstar. In general, the service is available in 44,000 apartment buildings in 125 Ukrainian cities.
“Our technicians are working hard to restore the damaged network as quickly as possible and return the Internet to our subscribers’ homes. Despite the significant losses that invaders cause to our infrastructure, we will continue to invest in the network as much as necessary to ensure that each of our users has access to the Internet and telecomservisiv” – commented the head of the Kyivstar fixed communications department Serhiy Sukhoruk.
In general, as of now, Kyivstar continues to control 92% of the fixed Internet network and 90% of the mobile network.
In addition to restoring the damaged infrastructure, the company is upgrading the network. In particular, in the cities of Lviv, Kyiv and Dnipro, the Internet became available at speeds up to 1Gbps. By the end of the year, this opportunity will appear in 14 cities of Ukraine. The company also actively implements social projects and provides free Internet access to bomb shelters throughout the country, as well as modular camps for internally displaced persons.
