Defense Minister: Since February 24, the Ukrainian military has received about 50 bayraktars, several more will arrive in July

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Ukrainian army has received up to 50 Bayraktar TB2 attack drones. A few more of these “birds” have already been ordered and will arrive in July.

This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov. He noted that the procurement of drones continues and in the near future “all the capacities of the Baykar Makina plant will be focused on meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

Reznikov also thanked the Ukrainian volunteers who recently collected 600 million hryvnias for four “bayraktars”. Manufacturers will donate the drones for free and the money can be spent on other important needs of the army. In addition, the Minister of Defense noted the recent fundraising among Lithuanians for one “Bayraktar” for Ukraine. This drone was also donated by the manufacturer.

According to the head of the defense department, the pre-war agreements with Turkey on the construction of a plant for the production of attack drones remain in force.

“These are medium-term plans. And they will be fulfilled,” Reznikov said.

    • I don’t mind them talking about the drones because it adds to their paranoia. Maybe the drones can start dropping sunflower seeds on the orcs? Do you think they would get the message? 😉

      • No, only a bullet or piece of shrapnel or being engulfed in flames will send them a clear message.

What is your opinion?
