Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov offered former US Ambassador to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzadom a “secret truce.” The Russian diplomat tried to scare “the Nazis in Kyiv.”

Politico writes about this .

It is noted that the diplomats had dinner at the Cafe Milano restaurant in Georgetown. Khalilzad called on his colleague from the Russian Federation to find some way “to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. In turn, Antonov asked what the United States would like to give in. The US ambassador insisted that this should be discussed with representatives of Ukraine. Nazis in Kyiv”.

“Do you have many Jews living here in the United States? Why do they tolerate everything that is happening in Kyiv?” – said the Russian ambassador.

After that, Antonov began to complain that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was allegedly destroying the future of the country. In the course of further conversation, the Russian diplomat even stated that Russia “demands respect” and “wants the United States to respect Russia.”

  1. Afraid that ship has sailed.buko.
    Fear can be created.
    Power taken.
    Respect?
    It has to be earned.

  2. The article links to the original Politico article. The event was hosted by Dmitry Simes; a notorious kremlin agent with links to the Trump wing of the GOP:

“Simes, the son of Russian human rights lawyers, drew previous public attention when he was mentioned more than 100 times in the Robert Mueller investigation into former President Donald Trump’s links to Russia. Mueller found that in June 2016, Simes sent a memo to then-Sen. Jeff Sessions, who was leading Trump’s foreign policy team, offering several policy recommendations, including “a new beginning with Moscow.” In August of that year, he sent Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner a “Russia policy memo.”

  3. If the mafiosi actually believe the shit they keep saying about Ukraine, then they are stupider than I’d ever guessed. It’s no wonder that Russia is a mafia land and that it is still a shithole, despite it being the 21st century and the country having raked in the bucks in previous decades.
“Russian” should be a new idiom for “stupid”.
