This happened against the backdrop of a number of harsh statements by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Russia has limited the shipment of oil from Kazakhstan through the port in Novorossiysk. This is the main route for transporting Kazakh oil to Europe.
This happened against the backdrop of a series of harsh statements by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the SPIEF economic forum in St. Petersburg.
The official reason for the limited shipment was found torpedoes and mines from the Second World War in the waters near the terminal where the oil pipeline from Kazakhstan ends. Demining work, which may last until the end of the month, is scheduled for June 20.
After that, it became known that Kazakhstan suspended the transit of Russian coal. Thus, the authorities of Kazakhstan blocked 1,700 wagons with coal on their territory.
Recall that on June 17, during a session with Vladimir Putin, Tokayev publicly announced from the stage of the SPIEF that it was inadmissible to recognize him as a country of the “DNR/LNR”. Tokayev also refused the Russian Order of Alexander Nevsky. It is reported that Tokaev was planned to be awarded as part of the SPIEF economic forum in St. Petersburg.

Great news! Now, it’s mafia land against Kazakhstan. This economic tit-for-tat will further make the mafia economy to shrink. I never expected Tokayev to go against his savior. As we remember, Tokayev was in deep trouble with mass demonstrations in his country this past winter, and the Moscow runt bailed him out.

I admit I’m confused with Tokayev. I don’t understand what he’s doing or why.
