The countries came to such an agreement after the decision of the European Commission last Friday.

As an UNIAN correspondent reports, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olga Stefanishyna said this on the air of the telethon .
“All EU members confirmed that they support granting candidate status to Ukraine after the decision of the European Commission last Friday. Countries expressed their support without even waiting for the meeting on June 24,” Stefanyshyn said.
She added that discussions continue this week regarding the format of the final decision, each country has the opportunity to put forward additional conditions, but granting Ukraine candidate status has a full consensus among the leaders.
Recall that the European Commission recommended the European Council to provide Ukraine with a European perspective and the status of a candidate for joining the European Union.
The decision of the European Council on granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership is expected on June 23-24.
