The Biden administration is working to ensure that the Russian Federation cannot “swallow” Ukraine, because this will provoke Putin to aggression against other countries.
The administration of US President Joe Biden discussed the possibility of a protracted war in Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in February.
It is reported by The Washington Post , citing a senior State Department official.
The White House hopes that the new weapons, sanctions and diplomatic isolation of Russia will influence the final conclusion of the war through negotiations, reducing the willingness of Vladimir Putin to continue the fight.
According to WP, Washington is working to ensure that Russia cannot “swallow” Ukraine, because this will provoke Putin to aggression against other countries.
“For us, the benchmark is that the consequence of Russia’s ability to achieve its maximalist aspirations will be very bad for the United States, very bad for our partners and allies, and no less bad for the whole world,” the State Department official said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, named four steps to strengthen Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against Russian aggression.

The sanctions don’t work and never will, unless people stop being so self-centered. They are far more concerned about the cost of a tank of petrol than genocide in Ukraine. They are more worried about the price of their air ticket to the tropics, rather than genocide in Ukraine.
Sanctions are useless in their present form.
Military support is still only a fraction of what it needs to be.

That is the core of the problem that must be addressed. This is firstly about Ukraine, but the consequences of a mafia victory will be far-reaching and long-lasting ones, and they are not on the positive side. Address the problem now; send more weapons to Ukraine ASAP!

You’re spitting in the wind. I don’t know if it’s Biden or the people pulling his strings but either way, won’t happen.

You’re right, but I still feel the need to say what I said.
The help that Ukraine has received in this war is a trail of tears, but, nevertheless, a trail.
