As the chairman of the Poltava regional military administration Dmitry Lunin said during the information telethon, the scale of destruction is still being determined.
When asked by the presenter whether it would be possible to restore the Kremenchug CHPP by the heating season, Lunin replied that it was difficult to say now, but it was planned to be done.
“If not, we have alternative ways of providing heating, there are mothballed boiler houses in the city, which we can include in the general heat supply system, and people will be warm,” he said.
As for the extent of the destruction, they are still unknown. Accurate information will appear on Monday, said the head of the Poltava OVA.
“The fire has just been extinguished, there is no information yet about the destruction, what exactly was destroyed and to what extent. Now experts will evaluate the volume of this destruction, cost and other indicators, and on Monday we will have more detailed information,” Lunin added.
