The President was informed how many people became victims of shelling by the occupiers in the Odessa region .

According to the press service of the head of state, as part of a working trip to the Odessa region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on the current situation in the region.

The meeting participants discussed issues of social security for internally displaced persons living in the Odessa region.

At the meeting, they also heard information about the consequences of rocket attacks by Russian invaders on the Odessa region.

“55 residents of the region became victims of shelling, a number of infrastructure facilities were destroyed,” the report says.

The head of state also inspected a residential building that was damaged on April 23 as a result of enemy rocket fire. Then the victims were eight people, including a three-month-old baby.

Zelensky got acquainted with the progress of restoration work.

“This is a terrible, terrible crime, the aggressor kills and maims our people. We must restore this house so that the residents return to their homes,” the president said.

As UNIAN wrote, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, June 18,  visited the strongholds of the National Guard in the Odessa region.

Earlier today, he paid a working visit to the Nikolaev region, where he  held a meeting on the current situation in the region.

In particular, they talked about restoring the water supply of the regional center, which was difficult due to damage to the water supply networks as a result of enemy shelling.
