The invaders failed to capture the entire airspace of Ukraine.
For about two months now, Russian planes and helicopters have not flown into the airspace over the Ukrainian territory, which is directly under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Yury Ignat, the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this at a briefing .
He noted that many people ask how the Air Force, which should be destroyed literally in the first hours of Russian aggression on February 24, manages to protect the airspace of Ukraine already on the 111th day of the war.
“Because the enemy has not flown into the territory of Ukraine controlled by our Armed Forces for about two months now. This is a big indicator. The enemy flies into the temporarily occupied territory and uses helicopters and strike aircraft there,” Ignat said.
