Turkey’s demands regarding the membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO remain unchanged.

This is reported by the Finnish edition of Yle .

Advisor to the President of Turkey Fahrettin Altun believes that Finland and Sweden have nothing to negotiate with NATO.

“Turkey’s demands for Finnish and Swedish membership in NATO remain unchanged and there is nothing to negotiate. It is wrong for Finland and Sweden to waste NATO time at these critical moments,” Altun said.

Another adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ibrahim Kalin, said earlier that the NATO summit in Madrid at the end of June “is not a deadline for Turkey to make decisions.

  1. I don’t understand why some entities don’t have a simple majority rule, and, instead, have a very inefficient unanimous one. This would make it impossible for shit countries to do what Turnkey and Hungary are currently doing.

    • Poland lost everything for centuries because of an insistence on unanimity in decisions. They simply could not defend themselves. To allow Turkey to veto the entry of anyone in NATO is simply unacceptable. What they are asking for is not that they extradite terrorists, they are wanting to kill Kurds. Turkey has acted as terrorists among Kurds.
